ABOUT ME

Virginia Wood MHBth, BSc(Hons) NT, MSc AN.

 Nutritional therapist

Who I am
I have over 25 years of experience in the beauty and skin care industry owning successful salons both here in the UK and in Cape Town, South Africa. I hold a Masters Diploma in Skin and Beauty, CIDESCO, ITEC and SAAHSP beauty qualifications along with multiple advanced skin certifications.

I hold a BSc(Hons) in Nutritional Therapy from Middlesex University and a MSc from the University of Glasgow. I have been in practice for over 10 years. I am CNHC Registered and an AFMCP-UK graduate.

Most NT's you meet will have a personal story about how they came to the profession, I am no different. I was having a horrible time with my health throughout my 20's and I had reached the end of the road with conventional medicine. So I sought the help of a Nutritional Therapist and never looked back. I saw how valuable this branch of functional medicine was and I went off to complete my BSc(Hons) in Nutritional therapy in 2014 through the Centre for Nutrition and Lifestyle Management and Middlesex University.
I stayed on with CNELM as a clinical supervisor both in South Africa and in the UK whilst I ran my own Nutritional practice. I went on to lecture final year NT students as part of a degree program and although received my core training in Functional Medicine, I went on to complete the Applied Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice training in 2015.

Nutrition and Health have always fascinated me, as an NT you delve deeply into the biochemical cause of ill health. Nutritional Therapy is not a one diet fits all approach, it is how we can work together to formulate a lifestyle change to heal and create optimal health.

Nutrition

Nutritional Therapy is a powerful tool to help you achieve optimal health. This is not about a diet, its about achievable nutrition and lifestyle changes tailored to your specific needs and health concerns.
